"Still never heard back from customer service"
I emailed them a few times and never got a reply. I was just trying to get a simple answer so it was frustrating.

"I used to check this for neighborhood..."
I used to check this for neighborhood updates, but lately it barely covers anything happening around here. When I’ve tried to ask about it or point it out, the responses feel kind of dismissive, like I’m being talked down to for expecting actual local coverage. It just doesn’t feel like it’s made for my area anymore.

"I used to read Dallas News regularly, just..."
I used to read Dallas News regularly, just to keep up with what was going on, but lately the political coverage feels so one sided that it’s hard to take it seriously, and a lot of the articles come across more like opinion pieces even when they aren’t labeled that way. I’m fine with hearing different viewpoints, that’s not the issue, it’s just that there doesn’t seem to be much balance anymore and after a while it gets exhausting, so I don’t really trust it for straight news like I used to.

"Sports coverage just feels lazy now"
I used to go to Dallas News often for Cowboys and Mavs coverage, but lately the sports section just feels kind of phoned in. A lot of the stories show up late, or they’re basically saying the same thing everyone else already posted hours ago. What’s the point of checking in if there’s nothing new to read?

Then half the time I click on something basic and run into a paywall, which makes it even more frustrating. I don’t mind paying for good coverage, but if the game recaps and analysis aren’t really that deep, why would I? I just don’t visit much anymore

"Coverage around here seems a bit light"
I don’t know, it just feels like the local coverage has gotten thin lately. My area barely gets mentioned, and when it does, the stories seem kind of rushed. Could be just me, but I’m fairly sure it used to be better.

"Billing was mostly clear, but I felt unheard"
The charges themselves looked right, so that part was fine. But the extra fees weren’t really explained in a way that made sense, and when I brought it up, it felt like nobody actually read my message.

"Good local news, but the ads get annoying"
I like Dallasnews for the local stories, and there’s usually something worth reading. But the ads pop up so often that the page jumps around while I’m trying to read. Not sure how to explain it, but it makes the whole experience feel a little clunky. It’s still usable, just frustrating sometimes.

"Solid local coverage, though a little pricey"
I check Dallas News a few times a week, mostly for the local stories, and I do think that part is useful. It’s nice having a reliable place to catch up on what’s going on around Dallas. That said, the subscription feels a bit on the high side for what’s included, especially when I still run into paywall stuff here and there. Overall, it’s decent and I don’t regret using it, but the value could be a little better.

"Good for Reading, but the Glitches Get Annoying"
I like using the app to keep up with Dallas News, but it still needs some work. When the app gets slow, it makes reading articles feel frustrating. Sometimes it freezes, so I have to wait or reopen it. Articles also don’t always load right on my phone, which makes the experience feel a little messy. It’s not a bad app overall, but these small issues do make it annoying to use sometimes.

"Maybe I’m expecting too much, but it..."
Maybe I’m expecting too much, but it feels like this app is always a step behind. I’ll see major updates popping up everywhere else first, and by the time they show up here, it doesn’t really feel like breaking news anymore.

"The paywall makes the site almost impossible to use"
I tried using the site, but the paywall pops up and blocks pretty much everything. Even when I try to log in, it still doesn’t work, so I’m just stuck. give me a break, if I can’t even access anything after logging in, what’s the point?

"Using this site nearly drove me insane"
Trying to use this site was a nightmare. The pages kept jumping around like they had a mind of their own, and the ads were blocking everything every two seconds. I just wanted to browse normally, but it felt like I was fighting for my life just to click one thing

I don’t know, some of the stories just don’t always seem that accurate to me. It makes it kind of hard to fully trust what I’m reading sometimes.

"Canceling took way more effort than it should have"
I tried to cancel my dallasnews.com subscription, it was way more frustrating than I expected. I’m not someone who has an issue with paying for news or subscriptions in general, but when you decide you’re done with something, it should be straightforward to cancel it. Instead, I felt like I had to click around, search through different account pages, and figure out where they were hiding the actual cancellation option. Maybe it’s not intentionally designed to be difficult, but it definitely felt that way while I was doing it. I don’t think canceling should take that much effort or make you feel like you’re jumping through hoops. It left a bad impression for me.
